Stoned Reading: Elon Musk Biography

So I recently bought two biography books. One on Steve Jobs, and the one I just finished on Elon Musk by Ashlee Vance.

I’ve said this many times. I am, and have always been a huge Elon Musk fan. Like I’ve never been more motivated to continue working and learning new things by anyone else than Elon.

UC Riverside, where I went sucked balls at motivating me. Like I had a student professor for my econometrics course…. where the fuck is all the tuition money going!?

Anyway, just watching Elon videos and interviews on YouTube is some inspiring shit. If you haven’t seen the Joe Rogan interviews with him (1st one especially), go watch them and see for yourself how much shit this genius man goes through every day to do the things he does for humanity.

So of course, I ended up reading this biography on him right away.

Overall, it was pretty good.

There were some things I didn’t like about the way the Elon was portrayed. Like there’s quite bit of quotes from old co-workers of his just bashing him and his leadership style. And I get it, the author wants to have both sides of the story, but still it felt like a book about how tough a boss Elon was.

It’s annoying to hear people complain soooo much about him. Like just quit if you hate it. I mean there’s no way I’m smart enough to help build rockets, I think I can learn if I really wanted to, but if I worked at a space company revolutionizing the world, I would…
