Damn, this book was amazing.

I first heard about it during a podcast from either Duncan Trussel, Joe Rogan, or Lex Fridman. One of these guys, but anyway I decided to buy it and read it finally. Holly shit though, I wish I read this years ago!

This is the first “Buddha” based book I’ve ever read, and let me tell you, I’m in.

So the story is about a guy named Siddhartha, who one day seeks and gains permission from his father to go on a long journey to go and find himself.

Off he goes with his friend Govinda who has always been right by Siddhartha’s side. Like this dude stayed glued to him.

Eventually they go their separate ways. To be honest though, Siddhartha straight up just split on his buddy one day out of the blue. I won’t go into that just so I don’t ruin what exactly happens, but yeah he essentially bailed on him.

So Siddhartha then goes his own way, on his own path, to go and find himself.

This dude literally has nothing to his name but the robe on his back. No money, no food, nothing.

He only has 3 skills: thinking, waiting, and fasting.

Siddhartha finds many teachers along the way. From Kamala who taught him all about love and how to live the life of the rich…
